We’d great fun on our class trip lately. We started our adventure with a Dart trip into town.We then went to the National Art Gallery where we saw paintings from two artist we have studied Jack Butler Yeats and Van Gogh. We then went next door to the Natural History Museum which was absolutely amazing. That wasn’t the end though, we then went to Merrion Park playground and Burger King to fill our hungry tummies!!Home on the DART then just in time for a bit of P.E! Great day out.
Congratulations to all the boys in 2nd class who made their First Holy Communion on Saturday. You all did a great job boys and looked very handsome indeed! Well done. Keep an eye on the website for a photo of yourself!
We decided to join in with the National Board Game Day to collect money for the charity ISPCC. Who could have known that you could have so much fun while also helping a worthwhile cause! We all brought in various board games such as Guess Who, Cluedo, Monopoly and lots more! Ms. Moriarty was very good at Guess Who! Have a look at our photos – but beware of the scary characters in our class that day!
Hi everyone!
I’m at last managing to find the time to log on and welcome all the new boys, who are by now very much settled in Scoil Assaim!!Welcome Ms. Moriarty’s class!!
Even though we’ve been quiet on the blog that certainly hasn’t been the case in class. We’ve been very busy with inspectors, nature trails, treasure hunts, dressing up, projects, art and lots more! Keep an eye on the blog for updates of all we get up to in 2nd class. There will be lots to come!
Watch out for our feathery friends coming soon!!
Well done to Ethan Dodd from our class and Ben Mahon from 6th class who following tough auditions have landed themselves parts in the show Oliver with The O’ Connell Musical Society!!Ethan will play the character Oliver and Ben will play the character Dodger. Superb achievement boys!
If you’d like to see the boys they will be on stage from May 11th to May 15th in Mount Temple School, Malahide Road.
We’ve been doing lots of work on the solar system in second class. There has been great debating going on as to how many planets there are in the solar system. Ms Moriarty says nine but a few of the boys are arguing that Pluto isn’t a planet! Maybe you can solve the argument!!
Come and have a look at our Crazy Planets. These are the planets that we think are out there and haven’t been discovered yet! We used chalk pastels when creating them. Messy but fun!!
We also used our imaginations an wnt on an adventure into space. Read our stories to find out what we got up to!!
